all_but_my_lifeLocation Update 4/8/09– We will not be meeting at Alison’s, instead we will be meeting at Ariel’s apartment in Worthington. Directions will be emailed next week.

When: Saturday, April 18th @ 11am. We will be watching the documentary One Survivor Remembers which is based on this month’s selection, All But My Life. One Survivor Remembers won the 1996 Academy Award for Best Documentary, Short Subjects.

Book: All But My Life by Gerda Weissmann Klein. I have seen several copies of this at Half Price Books ranging from $2-7.

If you enjoy All But My Life you may also want to check out The Hours After: Letters of Love and Longing in War’s Aftermath which chronicles a years worth of correspondence between Gerda and her fiance, Kurt Klein.
